3911miles.

Tuesday started out horribly. My boy hates Tuesdays somehow, and today just got to be the day I had to agree with him. There was this weird office guy always getting up at the same stop, and somehow manage to get a seat beside me when there are so many empty seats around. Always a love-hate feeling taking public transports but I've had enough of such weird people in Sg I rather be stuck in a traffic than be stuck with weirdos.

My boy and I was skyping for almost an hour while he was attending his lecture with the most boring accent I've ever heard for his marketing lesson. Like always, we left the video on and just did whatever we were doing and I was occasionally staring into the screen doing creepy face to see him painfully hide his smirk hahaha. Yesterday I was doing some tarrot card reading and apparently, it claimed that I'm abusive in the relationship?!???!?!?! HAHA. I miss pinching his face, I miss doing his eyebrows, I miss snuggling on his chest, I miss him being persistent on smelling my hair, I miss kissing his face and his hugs. I miss his touch, a lot.

That's one thing that makes this whole LDR even more difficult.

Although the internet age has made things feasible, romance and relationships are a different beast when thousand of miles separates us.

The physical aspect matters more than you think.

I don't get to sit beside him on a couch and talk about how our day went. I'm glad we do communicate a lot on a daily basis when we are free, because verbal/video communications are so much important in this LDR to maintain the things we want it to be like before.

People say that spending time together is the key to keeping a relationship alive. But when we are separated by hundreds of miles, though, our primary method for accomplishing this is by spending a lot of face-time/skype with a cold, digital display. I have to accept that he's going to be occupied with his new social circle of friends over there, and though its difficult sometimes, no doubt I will get worried and anxious and jealous (sometimes) but I guess I have to start learning to fill up my day with other activities and stop expecting things that will be the same like before.

Mondays are never blue when I'm with you!






So school and everything is finally getting better, started to get used to taking bus in Sydney, the routes and where certain shops are. Getting lost a little lesser and saving so much more time from taking buses going toward the wrong direction! 😅
And during dinner, she taught me how to make mac and cheese!! It was good having something so fatty after all the boiled or stir fried vegetarian diet I've been having. But I think it'll be better if she cooked it instead. :x Can't wait for the day till I see her again and eat her home cooked food! Even if its just tomyum maggie it'll taste like some Gordon Ramsay egg noodles in delicious sour and spicy thai style broth. 😋😋
And when I got back from school and everything, finally got to Skype with baby after so long!! It's so good seeing her face again! We do this thing when she's bored of work and then she'll Skype me and we will pretend that we're beside each other and talking to each other while we work. ☺️
She was so cute tonight! Just like usual, she said lots of embarrassing things while on webcam with me. I probably shouldn't say it here because she'll kill me if i do. HAHAHA

The 3 hours time difference is really a bitch though. Like its 3am here alr but its only 12am there back in Singapore. :( but I guess I should be contented that its only 3 hrs! Although it means less sleep for me, but I think it wouldn't matter since sleep is something I won't be getting once the architecture student workload starts to pick up. :/

Can't wait till the day I see her again, I miss her so much! From the smell of her hair, to the way she walks towards me whenever we go on a date back in Singapore.

So why distance and capsicums?
My hate for distance is exactly the same for my hate for capsicums right now. And I believe its the same for my girl back in Singapore. Being 3911 miles away from the one you love isn't funny at all. There are times when she needs me and I couldn't be there, there are times when I need her and all I can do is to look at our past pictures and dwell in those memories. Things aren't so smooth sailing since this LDR started, and I'm sure its the same for many LDR couples out there. The human touch is a powerful thing. Just one squeeze of a hand from her can make me feel stronger and more secured. Just one hug from her can make the problems of today and the troubles of tomorrow disappear. Just looking into those glistening eyes can make me feel like there's nothing more important in the world than the girl that held my world in her hands. Just a kiss shared with her, makes everything around me disappear. But no. that's not the only difficult part about LDR.

There are times, when she isn't feeling like herself, I would just appear below her block. With something in my hands and a heart full of care, I could be there to hold her, to tell her everything is fine. There will be times when I miss her the 1st thing in the morning, and I would just wait in my bed till the time her alarm is suppose to ring and give her a wakeup call. Things aren't the same when you're miles away.

I realised, time management is really important. Well, time management is always important, but it's even more so now. Where you really have to set aside time for work, play, sleep, and to Skype. Thats one thing that i haven't been able to figure out yet. My 1st mistake was to think that I'm really superman, thinking that sleep is for the weak. I guess I had to learn it the hard way yesterday. When she took the effort to stay at home and wait for me for that little moment of Skype (which is the only way we could see each other and hear each other's voice again), but I just had to fall asleep the moment my head hit the pillow. I really never expect that I would just fall asleep so fast, never did I expect that my brain will give in to my body and shut down the moment its comfortable. That left me lost and empty the next day, and thats when I decided. To always keep track of my limit, so everyday I'll leave myself with atlas 30% of safe energy to anticipate moments where we could Skype.

I'll admit, things are really difficult when you are so far away from the one you love. Thats why, I would like to take this chance, to say thank you (with a big hug) to the girlfriend. Thank you for always making time for me. Thank you for keeping a strong front and for staying happy and cheery despite all the things you're going through. Thank you for making me feel like you're there, even though we're so far away. Thank you for always loving me and caring so much for me. I love you Valeryn Lim Pei Xuan.
